About Dr. Brannon
Dr. Drew Brannon joined Lowdergroup in 2010 and now serves as President and COO of Synergy Group and its two divisions: Synergy Psych and Synergy Performance. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, he completed his undergraduate studies at Presbyterian College (PC). While at PC, he was a two-sport varsity athlete and studied English and psychology. During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Brannon was twice recognized as an NCAA Academic All-American. Dr. Brannon completed his psychology training at the University of Georgia, while focusing on a dual track of counseling and sport/performance psychology. During his training, he worked within the University of Georgia Athletic Department as a member of the Sports Medicine team (2005-2009), where he provided sport psychology services to student-athletes, coaches, and teams. Following his training at Georgia, Dr. Brannon completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical residency at the Oklahoma Health Consortium where he did rotations within the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department and the University of Oklahoma’s Goddard Health Center.
In his role at Synergy Performance, Dr. Brannon provides sport/performance psychology services and consulting services in the areas of performance enhancement, leadership development, hiring/retention, and executive coaching to individuals and organizations. Dr. Brannon has previously served as the primary consulting sport psychologist to the University of Georgia Athletic Department (2010-2013). Currently, he provides sport psychology services within the athletic departments at Georgia, Furman University, and Presbyterian College, while also working with many other collegiate student-athletes at various institutions. His client list includes six NCAA division I athletic departments and professional athletes in several sports. In addition, his former clients have won a combined 10 Olympic Medals (4 gold, 6 silver) representing the USA. Dr. Brannon is a licensed psychologist in the state of South Carolina and has also earned the status of Certified Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CC-AASP # 344). Dr. Brannon and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters and a son. They are active members at Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is also an avid runner and cyclist.
